A lotion candle in case you didn’t know is a natural candle made with 100% clean/natural ingredients (soy wax and some essential oils).

How does it work?

These candles are meant to be burned for 10-15 minutes (or until the wax softens up), blown out and then you can use the warm melted soy wax/oil mixture on your hands, feet, elbows, and body to keep them moisturized and hydrated; to help you sleep, relieve stress, pain, burn, etc.

How to – make lavender lotion candles

The first step is to gather all ingredients and tools. You’ll need:

• a tin can/mason jar/jar/candle mold or just a container for your candle
• a candle wick
• a double boiler (to melt the wax) or just your microwave to make it simpler

Ingredients:

1/2 tbsp of Cocoa Butter
1/2 tbsp of Shea Butter
2g of Soy wax, or Palm wax, or Beeswax or whatever wax you plan to use
1/8 tsp of Jojoba Oil
5 drops of Vitamin E Oil
10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil (you could reduce this by adding whatever essential oil you’d like to mist it with – it’s up to you)

The second step is the making/preparation of the candle.

– melt the mix of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and wax in the container (tin/jar/mold etc.) over the double boiler or in the microwave

– add Jojoba, Vitamin E, and Lavender oils and stir to combine all

– once melted, position the candle wick at the bottom of the container (tin/jar/mold etc.)

– let the mixture cool and harden

And you have it – your Lavender lotion candle.

The third and last step is to enjoy the goodness and benefits of the lotion candle you just made.
