• Stir while adding olive oil and essential oils. Allow sitting until almost solid (you can expedite this by placing it in the freezer, just keep an eye on it). Transfer mixture to a medium-sized bowl, and then use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until light and the texture of the lotion. *This may take up to 10 minutes, so be prepared.
• We need to whip the mixture well together, or it may not be solid enough.
• Pour mixture back into the mason jar, and store at room temperature for up to 3 months.
• In the case of hot summers, one can even refrigerate this cream*.

Try using Lavender Oil for Babies with Eczema

While Bathing:

When you are going to bathe your baby, add two to three drops of lavender oil into the bathwater. This will help reduce the inflammation of the affected skin. Your baby will also probably love the scent of lavender oil*.

Dilution:

Before you directly apply lavender oil on the affected area, It is recommended to dilute it with two teaspoons of clean water for babies. This is the safest way to avoid any adverse effects later on. Lavender oil might not be safe to apply straight to the skin of babies as it’s very potent. Geranium oil may also be used for a variety of very common skin issues like eczema, oily or congested skin and dermatitis.
Research has shown that geranium oil has potent antibacterial and anti-fungal abilities against at least 24 different types of bacteria and fungi, Wow. These antibacterial and anti-fungal properties found in geranium oil can helps to protect the body from infection when applied externally.

Geranium essential oil for eczema

Geranium oil could also be used to improve the health of your skin, and to get rid of eczema or dermatitis symptoms.

Ointment recipe:

• 30 drops Lavender essential oil (Relieve itching)
• 20 drops of Geranium essential oil (Soothes and heels)
• 20 drops of Melaleuca essential oil (Treat/prevent infection)

Directions:

Mix 20 drops of each essential oil with 1 Tsb of olive oil, massage into the affected area as needed.
