Lavender lotion candles
If you’re one of those who find therapy stressful or can’t pass through the candle section of a store without a quick stop to sniff on some candles, or if you’re looking for a sniffing reason to make you stay home forever or if just like me you love playing around with softened wax from a just blown out candle, then lotion candles is the way to go.
What’s a lotion candle?
A lotion candle in case you didn’t know is a natural candle made with 100% clean/natural ingredients (soy wax and some essential oils).
How does it work?
These candles are meant to be burned for 10-15 minutes (or until the wax softens up), blown out and then you can use the warm melted soy wax/oil mixture on your hands, feet, elbows, and body to keep them moisturized and hydrated; to help you sleep, relieve stress, pain, burn, etc.
And because we’re an all things lavender kinda blog, this post has a list of best Lavender lotion candles available for purchase out there, but also a DIY recipe for your sniffing pleasures.

The first step is to gather all ingredients and tools. You’ll need:

The second step is the making/preparation of the candle.
– melt the mix of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and wax in the container (tin/jar/mold etc.) over the double boiler or in the microwave
– add Jojoba, Vitamin E, and Lavender oils and stir to combine all
– once melted, position the candle wick at the bottom of the container (tin/jar/mold etc.)
– let the mixture cool and harden
